Of POPs and Other Pollutants: A Discussion
Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), a class of highly hazardous chemicals, are a serious threat to the entire ecosystem. They are widely present in all regions of the world in the form of pesticides, chemicals and industrial by-products. Moreover, they are bio-accumulative with a tendency for long range transport. To raise awareness on the subject, here is a special discussion with Dr. Roland Weber, Mr. Zaigham Abbas and Dr. Mehmood Khwaja.
