Pakistan-India Relations

The current skirmishes on the Line of Control (LoC) that may derail the process of peace talks between the two neighbouring nuclear rivals have started at a time when the new Pakistan government led by Nawaz Sharif was preparing to revive the stalled dialogue with India. Tension flared along the LoC on August 6 when soldiers from both the sides exchanged fire at the border that resulted in a number of deaths. Both India and Pakistan issued cautious statements blaming each other for the tension. Experts say that both the countries would have to acknowledge their past mistakes to bring their relations back to normalcy. Our Correspondent Raja Taimur Hassan has the story…
